Drive Adoption = Drive Behavior Change
Driving adoption is a core business discussion, it is about increasing your monthy active users, selling more subscriptions, adding more licenses and booking profits. But then, if we think deeply driving adoption is directly linked with driving behavior change. To drive adoption, at the core you first need to make changes to your current behavior.
True adoption happens when people see value which enables them to change habits and integrate something new in their daily life. Designer need to understand user motiavtions, reducing frictions and build experiences that make change effortless.
Whether it’s a digital tool, a service, or an organizational shift, success lies not in forcing adoption but in making the new way the obvious and preferred choice.
The rise of Digital payments especially in India is a great example of behavior change. Back in the days people relied heavily on cash for everyday transactions. Standing in 2025 a considerable amount of Indian population has now moved to digital payments platform like Google Pay, Paytm, Bharat pay.
